The Vitesse features the same frameset as used by Sam Bennet to win stage 5 of the 2013 Tour of Britain; race proven; race winning; race ready!
Lightweight T700/T800 HM-UD Carbon Frame & Fork – 970g Frame Weight – UCI Approved
The Vitesse has been revised and updated for 2014 in conjunction with the An Post Chain Reaction Sean Kelly Team. We have used a mix of T700 and T800 HM-UD carbon and fine-tuned the carbon lay-up to increase lateral stiffness in the bottom bracket and chainstay area for improved power transfer whilst retaining the vertical compliance that gives the Vitesse a high degree of comfort on harsh road surfaces. A matching T700 HM-UD full carbon fork with a tapered steerer has also been revised for increased front end stiffness and improved handling with pinpoint accuracy allowing you to push the boundaries on fast paced descents. Our semi-sloping race inspired geometry instils confidence with every ride to further enhance your riding experience.
Shimano Ultegra & FSA Groupset
Trickle down technology from Shimano’s top tier Dura Ace groupset now features on the new Shimano Ultegra 6800 11 speed shifters and derailleurs with improved ergonomics and enhanced shifting performance. An FSA Gossamer Pro compact chainset with 50t x 34t rings offers a wide gear ratio when paired up with the 11t – 28t Ultegra 11 speed cassette. Braking duties are taken care of by FSA Gossamer Pro dual pivot brakes for reliable, dependable stopping power. A Vitus chain catcher comes as standard on all of our carbon frame models.
Easton EA70 SL Wheelset & Vitus Elite Finishing Kit
Easton have overhauled their EA70 SL wheelset to bring it bang up to date with the latest trend for wider rim profiles. The rims now feature a wider 17.5mm (internal) rim width which provides a stiffer rim and alters the profile of the tyre to provide a larger contact patch for extra grip when cornering hard. Additional enhancements include the all new V5 hubset which offers improved durability and reduced maintenance. The wheels are wrapped in Continental UltraSport II 700 x 23c rubber for low rolling resistance and predictable handling. A custom coloured Prologo Scratch Pro saddle offers comfort and performance for long days in the saddle. Vitus Elite finishing kit completes the components package. The Elite series alloy bars and stem provide a lightweight and dependable cockpit for ultimate control and comfort. The Elite carbon seatpost offers reduced weight and added comfort by reducing road buzz from uneven road surfaces.
